100,000 Ghanaians Are Homeless – Dr Stephen Takyi Reveals1 min read

A Senior lecturer at the Development of Planning at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr. Stephen Takyi has revealed that about 100,000 Ghanaians are homeless.

The Lecturer said this while adding up to the statistics by the Ghana Statistical Service which says 1.4 million households in urban areas lack water and over 400 thousand without toilet facilities.

Dr. Takyi further stated that while some countries are moving to robotics, Ghanaians are discussing lack of toilet facilities.

Speaking on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, the Senior Lecturer added that the only solution to such a problem is putting in place proper systems.
