A former Presidential Staffer and member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications, P.V Jantua Dadson Boateng says Ghana is yet to achieve the benefits of its democracy.

P.V Jantuah said the style of democracy practiced in the country has failed.

Giving his view on the topic: “Is Democracy Destroying Our Country Ghana?” on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, he said Ghana learnt from the U.S. but has failed to ameliorate and progress as a country.

“The democracy we are learning from the Americans shouldn’t be cut and paste. Theirs is the rule of law which denotes that everybody is equal before the law. You see, we practice rule of men instead of rule of law,” he told Kwame Koranteng, host of Ama Ghana.

The NDC Communications member jabbed that Ghana’s rule of law is the ‘rule of men’

He said: “anybody who will say democracy is better than military rule means we haven’t achieved the benefits of democracy.”
