2024 Budget: Do Not Compare Tamale Roads To Akufo-Addo’s Roads – Kennedy Kankam<span class="wtr-time-wrap after-title"><span class="wtr-time-number">1</span> min read</span>

Municipal Chief Executive for Asokore Mampong, Hon Kennedy Kankam is urging residents in the Ashanti Region not to compare the construction of Tamale roads to that of the roads the government of President Akufo-Addo has built.

Presenting the 2024 Nkunim Budget in Parliament on Wednesday 15/11/2023 Ken Ofori Atta said: ’Mr. Speaker, the following projects under the Master Project Support Agreement (MPSA) with Sinohydro Corporation Limited have been completed: Tamale Interchange Project (100 percent); Western Region and Cape Coast Inner City Roads- 32.19km (100 percent); Construction of Hohoe-Jasikan–Dodi-Pepesu – 66.4km (100 percent); Upgrading of Selected Feeder Roads in Ashanti and Western Regions – 68km (100 percent); Sunyani Inner City Roads (39km) – 81 percent completed; Construction of Sunyani and Berekum Inner City Roads (39km) – 81 percent complete; and PTC roundabout interchange project, Takoradi – 80 percent complete.”

Hon. Kankam in an interview on the Ama Ghana Morning Show the late former President, Jerry John Rawlings started the construction of the Tamale road project during his military admnistration.

He stated that there is hope in the 2024 budget.

The former MP for Nhyiaso Constituency said the program and policies Akufo-Addo has laid down will soon bear results.
