An angry mob set a 25-year-old man, Papa Yaw, on fire for allegedly killing a 70-year-old woman.
The incident occurred in Apaaso, Bekwai Municipality, Ashanti Region.
In retaliation, the enraged youth apprehended the young man and allegedly burned him alive.
It has also been revealed that the deceased woman informed Kwabena Gyamfi that Papa Yaw destroyed her farm produce.
Kwabena Gyamfi instructed the woman to take the lead, and he [Gyamfi] would go find another witness to come and assess the situation she had complained about.
Unfortunately for them, when they arrived at the farm, they discovered that the woman, Auntie Ampofowaa, had been butchered to death.
Kwabena Gyamfi is said to have suspected Papa Yaw of allegedly killing the woman since she had complained that Yaw had destroyed produce on her farm.
They later informed others in the area and went in search of Papa Taw, attacked him, and set him on fire.
