Cecilia Abena Dapaah’s Theft Case Has Created Fear In Politicians – Security Analyst1 min read
Security Expert, Richard Kumadoe, says the Cecilia Abena Dapaah money canard has reposed anxiety in politicians.
According to Mr Kumadoe, the situation has become a security threat for the politicians.
Two maids of the former Sanitation and Water Resources Minister, Patience Botwe and Sarah Agyei reportedly stole $1m, €300k at her home.
Cecilia Abena Dapaah was arrested on July 24, 2023 by the Special Prosecutor and was released on bail following a detention and search in her home.
The police have also disclosed that it has forwarded the docket of the Cecilia Dapaah theft case to the Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice for review and advice.
In an interview on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, Kumadoe said he is not surprised the former Minister of State had such huge money in her home.
According to him, the situation will paddle politicians to declare their assets adding that they need education on the declaration of assets.
“The politicians are not resourceful on so many grounds so if you don’t create awareness and teach them specific things it will create problems for them and their families,” he told host, Kwame Koranteng.
