Senior Lecturer at the Department of Planning of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Dr Stephen Takyi has stated that Ghana needs a leader who well understands the decentralization system.
According to him, people confuse themselves with democracy and decentralization saying democracy does not end after elections.
Speaking on the topic: Ghana’s Decentralization – A Reality? on Ama Ghana on Time FM in Kumasi, Dr Takyi said proper democracy is a decentralization system.
“Decentralization is bringing decision making and development to the people”, he told host, Kwame Koranteng.
