Historian, Lawyer Anokye Frimpong has revealed that the Twi language is not the language of the Asante people.
Lawyer Frimpong said it will be a mistake for a person to say Twi is for Ashantis.
Giving the history on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Show, he said when the ancestors migrated from Mali, they were speaking Bono and a small group called Twifo yanked the ‘b3 b3’ and it became a special language.
He reiterated that Ashantis don’t have any language.
