Mental Healthcare In Ghana Not Improving – Dr. Akwasi Osei1 min read
The Chief Executive Officer of the Mental Health Authority, Dr. Akwasi Osei says the nation’s mental healthcare has failed to improve.
According to Dr Akwasi Osei, it is as a result of government not introducing the Mental Health Tax.
His comments come after World Health Organization (WHO) research revealed that over 2.3million Ghanaians have mental problems.
Speaking on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Kumasi based Time FM, he said the mental healthcare will improve if government introduces the tax.
