Contractor of Astro Turfs across the country, Best Limited has handed over a ready for use Astro Turf at Kotei to the Oforikrom Municipal Assembly in Kumasi.
The project which took 14 months to complete has modern facilities including perimeter mesh fencing and 4-corner lighting system.
Handing over the modern pitch to the Assembly, the Managing Director of Best Limited, Nana Antwi Kingsford said the company will not relent in efforts to provide quality sports infrastructure in the country.
He noted that the modern pitch will expose Ghanaians to the best artificial turf to enhance training and exercising.
With funding from its client, Ghana Gas, Nana Antwi revealed that the pitch has a drain mapping to drift away water when it rains.
A friendly match between a Stephen Appiah led ex- Black Stars players and Oforikrom Eleven ended 4 – 0 in favor of the old Black Stars with Sulley Muntari scoring two.
John Painstil, Black Stars’ ex-player who featured in the match urged the youth in the area to make good use of the Astro Turf to uncover their talents.
