Government Is Committed To Fight Galamsey – Government Spokesperson1 min read
Government Spokesperson, Kofi Tonto has stated that although the fight against galamsey has not proved futile, government is committed to curb the menace.
Mr Tonto who appeared on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM noted that the fight against galamsey is a collective effort.
“Government is leading the fight, so chiefs, security personnel should help the government to end illegal.”
He acknowledged that it is a bold step by government to protect the people of Ghana from negative environmental impacts of illegal mining.
