GSA Shuts Down Three Cement Factories In Ashanti Region, 2 Directors Arrested1 min read
Three cement manufacturing companies in the Ashanti Region have been shut down for allegedly using substandard materials in cement production.
The Ashanti Regional Director of the GSA, Samuel Kofi Frimpong who revealed this in an interview on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM said, two directors of the Kumasi Cement Ghana Limited were also arrested on Tuesday in an operation by the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) and the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO).
Mr Kofi Frimpong explained that, instead of the companies using limestone in the cement production, they used corri dust.
