It was a joyous mood at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) and the SDA Hospital in Kumasi when MTN joined and shared the happiness of mothers who gave birth on Christmas Day.

Fifty hampers were dashed out to mothers for onward transfer to their new born babies born on the 25th of December, 2023.

Nationwide, MTN is gifting 500 hampers to new born babies on this day of love, giving and peace in the 16 regions of Ghana.

Beneficiary mothers were thankful to MTN for the hampers which contained baby soap, baby diapers, towels, powder, toys and things needed to keep a new born baby’s upkeep.

Each hamper cost MTN GHc 600.

For her part, Gifty Aduwaa Fokuo, Midwife Specialist of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Directorate advised women to visit the hospital for regular check-ups as soon as they get pregnant.

She noted that stillbirth is real and it’s sad to carry a baby for 9 good months only for it to be given birth dead.
