VIDEO: An Unauthorized Person In Possession Of AK 47 Rifle Is A Sign Of Weak Government Surveillance – Richard Kumadoe1 min read
In light of the next general election in December, Richard Kumadoe, the Founder of Independent Election Security and Compliance Watchers, has assigned the nation the duty of conducting a thorough investigation into the distribution of more than a million unlicensed firearms.
Mr. Kumadoe pointed out that while some citizens are authorized to import and sell weapons, AK-47 rifles are prohibited, and that if an AK-47 rifle is discovered in the possession of an unauthorized person, it is a sign of a weak government surveillance system.
Speaking on Time FM 97.7MHz‘s Ama Ghana Morning Show, he bemoaned the fact that elections in Ghana are now a threat to national security, citing the lack of electoral management expertise in the nation.
