The young woman disclosed that her mother, who was HIV positive, unknowingly transmitted the virus to her during childbirth, stemming from her late husband’s HIV status.
In an exclusive interview with Nana Kwabena Ampratwum on Time FM‘s Ama Ghana Morning Show, she recounted first noticing symptoms of the virus at the tender age of 12.
Expressing the emotional toll of living with HIV, the single mother revealed the agony of adhering to antiretroviral medication, often grappling with the desire to stop treatment out of fear of its consequences.
