John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has pledged to streamline port fees if elected.

He also committed to implementing measures to address the depreciation of the cedi against the dollar.

“We will rationalize port fees and charges, and measures to stabilize the cedi and macroeconomic environment,” he said.
He also promised to restore the licenses of the banks that were wrongly revoked during the financial sector cleanup.

He stated that the NPP, despite repackaging themselves, took over a robust economy from the NDC but has ultimately ruined it.

“Ghana is bleeding, crying for change, Ghanaians can take no more hardships, impunity, lies, state capture,” he said during the launch of the NDC manifesto in Winneba on Saturday, August 24. They must begin writing their handover notes,” he said.

In attendance are the rank and file of the party including the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, running mate of the party, Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang and National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
