A 50-year-old pastor, Victor Appiah, has been accused of beheading his 46-year-old wife, Akua Emelia, in a horrifying incident in Trabuom, Ashanti Region.
Following the murder, Appiah, the founder of End Time Rapture Family Church, took his own life by ingesting poison.
The couple, who had eight children together, had a history of domestic disputes that led to Akua leaving her husband temporarily.
Despite reconciling, the tragedy unfolded on Saturday, September 28, when Appiah lured Akua to a cassava farm and brutally attacked her with a machete.
Witnesses and family members expressed shock and disbelief at the pastor’s actions, describing him as a respected member of the community. The incident has left Trabuom residents reeling from the tragic loss and the horrifying nature of the crime.
