President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has praised Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, for his steadfast loyalty and dedication over nearly two decades of partnership.

Speaking to chiefs and community leaders in Wa, Upper West Region, the president emphasized his unwavering confidence in Bawumia’s commitment to serving Ghana.

Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians to vote for Bawumia in the upcoming 2024 elections, framing it as a choice for loyalty and dedication to the nation’s development agenda.

He also took the opportunity to criticize opposition leader John Dramani Mahama, advocating for Bawumia as the candidate capable of continuing the NPP’s progress.

“In my nearly 20 years working with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, I’ve never doubted his loyalty or commitment to our shared goals. I ask for your support to help Bawumia ‘break the 8,'” Akufo-Addo stated, dismissing Mahama’s claims about the significance of the number 8 in the election.
