Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has introduced the CitizenApp, an innovative mobile platform aimed at enhancing public service delivery and citizen interaction in Accra.
This app serves as a comprehensive resource for accessing various government services, reporting issues, and receiving real-time updates on public affairs.
Designed to be user-friendly, it aims to empower Ghanaians by providing seamless access to essential services and timely information.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized the app’s potential to simplify processes, cut down on red tape, and promote greater transparency and accountability within government operations.
“What Ghana has achieved, many advanced nations have yet to accomplish. We are heading in a direction rich with opportunities. With this system in place, doing business in Ghana will be smoother, tax payments will be simpler, passport applications will be easier, and business registrations will be straightforward,” he noted.
“This initiative will significantly ease citizens’ lives while allowing the government to engage directly with them. This is a thrilling step forward in our digitalization journey,” he added.
The launch attracted prominent government officials, leaders from the tech industry, and enthusiastic members of the public.
