Obiri Boahen Exposes NDC ‘Dangerous Game’ Ahead of Election 20241 min read
A former deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen, has raised concerns about unguarded remarks from some pro-NDC media houses, Members of Parliament, intellectuals, lawyers, and chiefs ahead of the December elections.
According to Lawyer Obiri Boahen, these individuals are inciting conflict in Ghana through their insults directed at NPP members and prominent figures in the country.
In an interview, he stated that when a person or floating voter listens to the pro-NDC media, it creates discomfort.
“The NDC wants war to happen. Insults have become their character. Why? What should we do to you? NDC, NDC indiscipline and lawlessness,” he said in the Twi dialect.
He lamented that some NDC members have unleashed heavy insults on the Supreme Court judges following their stay of execution ruling on the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin’s declaration of four seats as vacant, which led the NPP leadership in Parliament, headed by Afenyo-Markin, to file an ex-parte application at the Supreme Court.
Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen alleged that recent tribalistic remarks made by some individuals against the Ashantis are incited by the NDC.
He asserted that no matter the insults and criticisms directed at NPP members by the largest opposition party, nothing chaotic will occur.
“What characters are we dealing with? The only thing the NDC knows is to clash heads and disturb Ghanaians, but when it boils over, it will cool down,” he said.
