Obiri Boahen: The NPP Holds the Key to Ghana’s Future1 min read
Former NPP Deputy General Secretary, Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen, asserts that the ruling party possesses the essential blueprint for Ghana’s transformation.
He emphasized that whenever the NPP is in power, it consistently implements policies aimed at easing the burdens on the vulnerable and improving the lives of all Ghanaians.
In a radio interview, Obiri Boahen referenced an Afrobarometer report revealing that 85% of Ghanaians support the continuation of the Free Senior High School policy, highlighting its significant impact on their lives.
He praised the Go Ride app, launched by Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, as a noteworthy advancement for local taxi drivers, allowing them to connect with clients in a manner akin to foreign ride-hailing services like Uber and Bolt.
“The Go Ride app is a remarkable achievement, things are changing. Some people have distanced themselves from reality and fail to see it,” he remarked.
Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen expressed disbelief that anyone would consider handing Ghana back to John Mahama and the NDC, stating they are not the viable alternative for the country’s development.
He pointed out that even U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris drew inspiration from Dr. Bawumia’s “It Is Possible” mantra during a recent debate, questioning which U.S. candidate has ever referenced Mahama’s words.
He concluded by stressing that the 2024 election campaign is focused on maturity, sincerity, and substantive issues
