One person has died while 14 others sustained injuries in a fatal road crash on the Accra–Kumasi Highway near Paradise Restaurant.
The accident occurred on Wednesday, August 12, and involved a MAN Diesel truck and a Toyota Hiace.

According to the Bunso Fire Station, a distress call about the accident was received at approximately 7:30 p.m., prompting the station to dispatch a six-member crew to the scene.
The fire crew arrived at about 7:46 p.m. and found the vehicles involved in the collision.
Preliminary information gathered from an eyewitness indicated that the MAN Diesel truck, with registration number AS 4765-11, was travelling towards Accra when the incident occurred.
The eyewitness reportedly said the truck was attempting to give way to a Toyota Vitz that was allegedly overtaking improperly.
In the process, the truck veered into the opposite lane, where it collided with the side of a Toyota Hiace, registered ER 655-25.

The impact resulted in partial damage to the front portion of the MAN Diesel truck and damage to the side of the Toyota Hiace.
Emergency responders attended to the situation and assisted in salvaging personal belongings from the affected vehicles.
A total of 14 people sustained injuries in the crash and were attended to following the incident.
However, one female occupant was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain subject to further investigation as authorities work to establish the precise cause of the collision.
After completing their operations and ensuring that the road was cleared to allow traffic to flow, the fire crew left the scene at 8:46 p.m.
