Jonathan Costa, West Africa Managing Director for Neuce Paints has assured the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Professor Otchere Addai-Mensah that his outfit would as part of its partnership with the hospital supply adequate paints needed for the painting of the Nurses’ block and the entire walls of KATH.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday after touring the nurses’ block and surroundings with the KATH CEO and some management staff, the Managing Director said it would be improper to leave the place unpainted having noticed the conditions they are in.
Mr Costa said Neuce was committed to making the entire KATH premises especially the doctors and nurses flats as well as the general surroundings appear good.
‘’It would be fitting to paint the nurses and general fence wall at this facility just as we have painted the doctors flats and in so doing we would make this premier hospital a beautiful place’’, Mr Costa stated.
Background:
Neuce Paints is a Portuguese brand and has been on the Ghanaian market for nine years now, the Managing Director disclosed.
He noted that it had been difficult breaking through the market but was counting on their work at the first phase of the Kejetia Market and the painting of the Doctors flats at KATH for a breakthrough.
Currently, the MD stated that Neuce Paints was in West African countries such as Nigeria, Togo, Senegal and Cape-Verde. He also noted that they have a market in Angola.
He revealed that their decision to supply free paint to KATH was borne out of their relationship with Prof Addai-Mensah, adding that so far they had supplied GHC200, 000.00 worth of Neuce paints to the hospital.
Earlier Tour:
Earlier on Tuesday morning, KATH CEO toured the ongoing painting works at the Doctors flats with the MD of Neuce Paints as well as some accompanying staff.
The team used the Center for National Cultural street to observe the ongoing painting as well as the artworks being made on the sides of the blocks.
Showing profuse happiness, both the Neuce MD and KATH CEO expressed delight for being able to carry out such an important intervention.
Appreciation:
During the tour, Prof Addai-Mensah thanked the MD for willingly offering to help KATH Management to paint its facility.
He noted that Management was grateful for the gesture, adding that KATH would also grant Neuce the opportunity to advertise their brands on its walls.
‘’On behalf of management and staff of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital I extend our sincerest gratitude to you for this gesture and we are hopeful that our partnership would yield mutual benefits to our outfits’’, the CEO stated.
