Kumasi Mayor Breaks Ground To Complete Bantama Sub-Metro Office Construction.

The Mayor of Kumasi, Hon Samuel Pyne has broken the ground for the construction of a first floor office complex for the Bantama Sub-metro.

The project, according to the Mayor would be delivered for use after six months.

Currently, the sub-metro is operating from the ground floor offices at the site.

Speaking to the media Monday morning, the Mayor said “as I indicated in my swearing in address, I, together with my Assembly members as well as staff would want to complete every project initiated by my predecessors as well as myself so that we can have value for money and make optimum use of those projects”.

The Mayor noted that Bantama needed a befitting Sub-metro council office complex to accommodate the increasing number of staff.

Hon Pyne also said that a proper office complex setting would motivate staff in giving out their best in terms of performance and efficiency.

The Mayor disclosed that all the necessary documentations on the project had been done to enable the contractor to commence work.

“I urge the administration and assembly members to collaborate with the contractor and also monitor the project so that together we can deliver a complete work”, Hon Pyne stated.

Sub-metro Chairman:
On his part, Francis Amoako, Bantama Sub-metro Chairman expressed gratitude to the Mayor for deciding to continue and complete the project.

The project, he noted would serve the Bantama Sub-metro well upon completion.

The Chairman also entreated the contractor to fulfil the 6months duration of the construction works.

Contractor:
CEO for the Jabora Construction Limited, contractor for the project promised the Council that he will work tirelessly to complete the project even before the six months period.

He noted that the office complex when completed would have some office spaces, a conference hall, washrooms, reception and other ancillaries.

Present at the occasion were the Metro Works Engineer, Sub-metro Administrator, the Public Relations of the KMA and some heads of Unit at the Sub-metro.
