A/R: Speeding Driver Crashes Woman, 76, To Death On May Day @ Aputuogya

May Day in Aputuogya, within the Bosomtwe Constituency of the Ashanti Region, turned somber as a speeding trotro driver collided with an elderly woman, believed to be 76 years old, resulting in her untimely demise.

Amidst tears, the lifeless body of the deceased, affectionately known as Aunty Annah, had to be lifted from the Wednesday night rain by approximately four men and placed into a vehicle.

According to eyewitnesses who spoke exclusively with Time FM’s Nana Owusu Achiaw, Aunty Annah was in the process of crossing the road upon her return from the market when the tragic incident occurred.

In response to the gravity of the situation, the driver, following the collision, proceeded to the Feyiase Police Station to report the incident, as confirmed by eyewitnesses.

According to the eyewitness, a Criminal Investigation Officer (CID) arrived at the scene to conduct further investigations.

A neighbor looking after the elderly woman shared her experience, recounting that she was at church when she heard cries about a car accident involving someone. To her surprise, when she left the church, she realized it was Aunty Annah.

The body of Aunty Annah has been transferred to the morgue for autopsy and preservation, marking a devastating turn of events in the community.
