Aduana Royal Family Of Sekyere Kwamang Appeals To Otumfuo To Come To Their Rescue1 min read
The Royal family of Sekyere Kwamang in the Ashanti Region is appealing to the overlord of the Asante Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Osei-Tutu II to counsel their Abusuapanin of the family to select a legitimate candidate to be the chief of the community.
According to the aggrieved Aduana family, the Abusuapanin, Kwame Bonsu has secretly connived with six (6) person’s from the Kwamang Traditional Council and has selected his nephew to be the next chief of Sekyere Kwamang, without the knowledge of the four other gates of the royal family.
Sources say the move by Opanin Kwame Bonsu has created tension among the family members in the area.
“We believe that the earlier the Asantehene intervenes in this matter, the better it would be for all and sundry, because it can escalate into something nasty,” a family member said this on condition of animosity.
He continued, “we are calling on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to intervene as soon as possible and choose the right person to lead Sekyere Kwamang.
“We are being deprived of the development we deserve due to the conflict and we believe the intervention of the overlord of Asanteman would eliminate this problem and help us to live in peace which is the catalyst for development and progress”, another family member added.
Speaking to media recently, the members of Aduana Royal family of Kwamang appealed passionately to Otumfuo to hear their case to prevent any future bloodshed in the community.
They also vehemently rejected the person selected by the Abusuapanin, arguing that he made his choice by his selfish interest and not the expectations of the other members of the family.
