Akosombo Dam Spillage: Floods Receding In Affected Areas, Schools Reopened – DCE Reveals<span class="wtr-time-wrap after-title"><span class="wtr-time-number">1</span> min read</span>

District Chief Executive Officer of North Tongu, Hon. Osborn Divine Fenu has revealed that the flood levels are receding in most areas that were affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage.

Hon. Divine Fenu said 69 communities in North Tongu were affected lamenting that Mepe was the hardest-hit community.

He revealed on Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM that, schools have been reopened in some areas.

“Some residents are still using classrooms as accommodation,” he told Nana Kwabena Ampratwum.
