Senior Research Fellow at the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) says Alan Kyerematen’s resignation from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed the rumors he heard some weeks ago.

Prof. Smart Sarpong said as it stands now the decision by Alan Cash as the former Trade and Industry Minister is widely known to quit the NPP is not a smart move.

Appearing on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM, Tuesday, 26th August 2023, he said if the speculations that Alan Cash has stated if he won’t become President then he will spoil the chances of an NPP candidate becoming President is unfortunate.

He said Alan Cash has a great hurdle to overcome if he wants to be the next President.

“Alan Cash’s decision can make and unmake the people saying it depends on how the NPP will manage the decision,” he told Kwame Koranteng.
