A former Foreign Affairs Minister under the John Agyekum Kufuor administration, Akwasi Osei-Adjei, says the ranks and files of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) should be worried about the exit of Alan Kyerematen from the party.
Hon. Akwasi Osei-Adjei admitted that Alan Cash’s departure from the NPP will have great significance on the party in the 2024 general election.
During an interaction with Kwame Koranteng on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Kumasi based Time FM, he stated that Alan Cash has a huge support base and it can reduce the strength of the NPP.
He cited the case of Fomena Constituency Member of Parliament, Hon. Andrew Amoako Asiamah as an example when he contested as an Independent Parliamentary Candidate and won the contest.
He noted that Hon. Andrew Amoako Asiamah became the cornerstone of the party.
Hon. Akwasi Osei-Adjei re-emphasized that every NPP member should be worried and not say Alan Cash is destructive.
