The Saint Theresa  Catholic Church at Asawase in the Asokore Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region has marked its 75th anniversary will a call on Christians to support the growth and development of the church.

The Metropolitan Archbishop of the Kumasi Archdiocese of the Catholic Church, Most Reverend Gabriel Anokye who is also a Parishioner and made the call said the church can only grow with support from dedicated members.

He encouraged Parishioners to ensure the spiritual and physical growth by contributing their quota and support their priest.

Speaking at thanksgiving Mass, the Parish Priest,  Reverend Father Gabriel Kofi Sekyere revealed that the church has always put its members on top of its agenda in the 75 years of existence.

He said a lot of the church members have been provided with jobs, education with other social interventions to make their lives better.

The church, he said would continue to ensure the well being of its members for developmental and spiritual growth.

For his part Mr Martin Eshon, a guest speaker at the event said the church has done well in producing more Reverend Father and sisters for the catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi.

He urged others especially the youth to emulate the enviable example his parents who started the Asawase Catholic Church and brighten the corner wherever they find themselves.
