Ashanti NPP Trains Organising Wings Ahead Of Election 2024.2 min read
Three hundred and seventy six (376) members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from its organizing wings in Ashanti including Nasara coordinators and Women organisers on Thursday were taken through a series of training so as to equip them with the requisite knowledge to undertake their mandates effectively.
The training, the regional organiser, Mr Francis Adomako said in an interview was intended to sharpen the skills of the participants.
He noted that the training is also to remind the organisers of their duties and what their mandates enjoin them to do.
‘’As the regional organiser I decided to begin the training for those who work directly under me so that we can collectively sharpen our skills and stand in readiness to campaign for the NPP ahead of the upcoming election 2024 where we envisage to win a third term mandate in government’’, Mr Adomako said.
Details:
Mr Adomako said the NPP was alert this time around to start work early to ensure that it stands in full readiness for the electioneering processes including outdoor campaigning.
The NPP, the regional organiser said had learnt from the mistakes it committed in 2008 when after a sterling performance by the John Agyekum Kufuor administration, NDC members unfortunately were able to use deceit and propaganda to get the populace to vote out the NPP in 2008 general elections.
This time around, Mr Adomako said that the NPP was carrying out training and orientation for its organizing wings early so they would be able to propagate the party’s policies as well as remind the public about the performance of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government from 2017 to date.
‘’We are focused to break the eight and not complacent because we know it is an arduous task so we are training our party foot-soldiers on time so that they can carry out their work early while promoting government policies as well as diffusing any falsehood the NDC may have thrown into the system to deceive Ghanaians”, Mr Adomako stressed.
Participants:
Madam Ama Konadu Boateng, Subin Constituency Women’s Organiser said she was hopeful the training would imbibe in them a sense of alertness to be able to carry out their tasks and mandates as the party readies itself for the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
‘’I am hopeful that this training would equip us with the requisite knowledge and skills to undertake our activities effectively and efficiently as election 2024 draws near’’, Madam Konadu stated.
On his part, Alhaji Abouba, Manhyia South Constituency Organiser commended the regional organiser of starting the training for them early so that the party could work to achieve its set target for the upcoming general elections.
‘’We are bent on breaking the Eight (8) year governing cycle of governance and this training would enable us to sharpen our skills as well as equip us with methods to galvanise the support we will need to secure another mandate in government’’, Alhaji Abouba firmly posited.
