"Bawumia Will Win 2024 Elections Massively" - Simon Osei-Mensah

Ashanti Regional Minister Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah has expressed strong confidence that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, will secure a resounding victory in the upcoming general elections.

Speaking on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM 97.7MHz with Nana Kwabena Ampratwum, Hon. Osei-Mensah praised the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration for its extensive development initiatives in the Ashanti Region, surpassing previous governments.

He highlighted Vice President Bawumia’s dedication to enhancing business growth and private sector development, particularly citing progress on the Boankra Inland Port project.

Hon. Osei-Mensah emphasized the importance of connecting the port to major cities via a railway line to maximize its economic impact, noting the potential for trains to transport over 200 cargo containers.

The Ashanti Regional Minister expressed hope that a private sector investor would undertake the railway construction, with reimbursement planned afterward.

He anticipated that Phase 1 of the Boankra Inland Port project could be commissioned by the end of 2024.

Hon. Osei Mensah stated that one objective for building the Boankra Inland Port is to alleviate pressure on the Accra to Kumasi road.

Hon. Osei-Mensah concluded by reaffirming his belief in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, predicting a significant electoral triumph that reflects widespread support for the NPP’s agenda.
