The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued a weather alert for Ghanaians today, Thursday, May 16th.
The forecast predicted a double dose of rain with two separate storms expected to hit the country.
One storm is brewing over Nigeria and is expected to make landfall around 9:30 am, impacting coastal and central regions. The other storm, currently over northern Benin, is anticipated to drift westward and affect the northern half of Ghana.
Both storms are expected to bring heavy downpours, strong winds, and thunder.
GMet warned of potential flooding and wind damage, urging residents in vulnerable areas to stay alert and take necessary precautions.
