CDD-Ghana Will Drag Parliament To Court If The Anti-LGBTQI+ Bill Is Passed – Professor Takyiwaa Manuh1 min read
Professor Takyiwaa Manuh, a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Democratic Development Ghana, has stated that the anti-LGBTQ+ bill currently pending in Parliament is a pointless endeavor.
No matter where they come from, everyone has the right to appreciate, practice, profess, preserve, and advance any culture, language, custom, or religion, according to Professor Takyiwaa Manuh and the Republic’s Constitution.
She added, “A person accused of indulging in or promoting LGBTQI+ activities cannot be arrested,” claiming that doing so would amount to an act of dictatorship, during an appearance on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM 97.7MHz
She demanded a leniency in the Bill’s passage.
If the Bill is passed by the Parliament of Ghana, Professor Takyiwaa Manuh told the host, Nana Kwabena Ampratwum, that CDD-Ghana would take the legislature to court to contest it.
