World champions Argentina will face Peru, Chile, and a yet-to-be-determined Concacaf team in the group stages of the Copa America, which will be held in the United States next summer.

Their longtime rivals Brazil will also be participating in the tournament and will be facing Colombia, Paraguay, and another Concacaf team in their group. Both Argentina and Brazil are expected to advance to the quarterfinals of the 48th edition of the Copa America.

Mexico, one of the four seeded teams in the draw, will have a tougher road ahead, as they were drawn with Ecuador, Venezuela, and Jamaica. Ecuador, led by English Premier League record transfer Moises Caicedo, have been climbing the world rankings, while Venezuela are just a point behind them in Conmebol qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

Jamaica, who recently defeated Canada to qualify for their first Nations League finals, could be the dark horse of the group and potentially the entire competition if they continue their upward trajectory.

The United States, who are hosting the tournament, have a difficult group, as they will be facing Uruguay, who are ranked two spots higher than them in the world rankings. Panama, who beat the US in the Gold Cup semifinals this summer, are also in the group, alongside Bolivia.

The Copa America will be played from June 20 to July 14 next year and will be hosted in 14 stadiums across the country, with four located on the West Coast, five in the Central Region, and five on the East Coast. The opening match will take place in Atlanta, while the final will be held in Miami.
