A judge in Argentina has approved the exhumation and relocation of the legendary soccer player Diego Maradona’s remains.

After his death in 2020, Maradona was buried in Bella Vista Cemetery in Buenos Aires.

However, his family has now secured permission to move his body to a new mausoleum that will be built in Puerto Madero, a popular area near the city center.

The mausoleum, named “M10” in honor of Maradona’s iconic jersey number, will be open to the public and will feature a memorial to the beloved footballer.

It is expected to be a significant tourist attraction and a place for fans to pay their respects.

The decision to move Maradona’s body comes as legal proceedings related to his death continue.

His daughters have accused his medical team of negligence, and a trial is scheduled for March.
