“Don’t Follow Minority To Boycott Parliament” – Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi To Majority1 min read
A Ranking Member of the Subsidiary Committee in Parliament, Lawyer Andy Kwame Appiah Kubi has urged the majority of legislators not to be absent from Parliamentary business.
Speaking on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show on Thursday, July 2o, he said if the Minority has abandoned business activities in the chamber to solidarize with James Gyakye Qyason (facing prosecution at the court) doesn’t grant the majority to abandon Parliament.
Touching on the Minority’s boycott from Parliament the Asante Akim North Constituency MP said, “there are consequences if you boycott Parliamentary duties to support your colleague in court and neglect your assignment.”
However, Minority has refuted claims of hampering parliamentary business with boycott
