Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Dr John Ampontuah Kumah has presented an amount of GHC100, 000.00 to Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem Senior High School.

The MP in addition to cash donation, Dr Kumah also promised to support the school’s operational activities with 30 brand new computers.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, the MP and Deputy Minister said ‘it is always a pleasure giving to support the activities of a school that is doing so well’.

“Today, I am happy to support Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem Girls Senior High School with GHC 100,000 and 30 computers in addition very soon”, the MP stated.

Exploits:
The MP noted that he was happy with the modest achievements of Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem Senior High School.

“Recently, the engineering club of the school built a model aeroplane aside several other innovative products under their sleeves making all of us proud”, Dr Kumah stated.

The MP disclosed that upon a recent tour of the school he learnt about some pressing needs of the outfit.

“Following their call for support in order to do more, I paid a visit to the school to interact with teachers and students and to encourage them”, the MP disclosed.

Commendation:
The MP commended the Minister for Education for deliberately supporting schools whose focus was science and maths education.

“Let me commend the Minister  for Education for his focus on STEM education, which forms part of the  vision of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to build a Ghana beyond aid”, Dr Kumah stressed.

The MP assured the school authorities of more support.

“I have also assured them of my continued support and look forward to work with them to achieve more”, Dr Kumah stated.
