In a recent crackdown, East Legon Police have detained ten individuals suspected of engaging in landguard activities in Adjirigano.

The suspects, including Harry Otu Hesse, Khalid Adnam, Tahiru Yakubu, Awudu Salifu, Michael Laryea, Theophilus Mensah, Mustapha Awudu, Kwetey Aryettey, Salifu Moses, and Ibrahim Musah, were apprehended following a complaint lodged by Nuumo Borketey Laweh XXXIII, the Gborbu Wulomo and a landowner affected by these activities.

The police report indicates that the suspects had been causing disturbances at a construction site, where they were reported to have harassed clients, confiscated tools, and obstructed workers.

On August 28, 2024, a targeted police operation led to the suspects’ arrest at Adjirigano 69, with authorities confiscating cutlasses and other items from them.

The ten individuals are currently in police custody, have provided their statements, and are set to face legal proceedings.
