Emergency Contraceptives Pills Should Not Be Used Frequently – Medical Officer Advises1 min read

A Medical Officer, Maternity Unit at Kumasi South Hospital, Dr. Kwame Agyei has disclosed that the Emergency Contraceptives Pills (ECP) should not be used frequently.

He said the pills should be used in emergency cases but most ladies take them on regular basis which mostly affect their menstrual cycle.

According to him, most youth patronize these pills because of its accessibility at the market without thinking of the side effects.

Speaking on Time Fm’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, Dr. Kwame said every drug has its own side effects but if taken properly, it then becomes generally safe.
