The 2022 National Best Farmer, Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe has urged the public to shun the perception that farming is for illiterates.
Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe said farming is a business which can generate huge revenue for a committed person.
Speaking on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, the Juabeng Akyempimhene said the unemployed youth are reluctant to venture into farming.
He was emphatic that if the farmers get a guarantee price for certain commodities, government can purchase the foodstuffs to buffer stock to address future calamities.
