Four Children Raise Funds To Support Orphanage Home At Kona In Ashanti Region.<span class="wtr-time-wrap after-title"><span class="wtr-time-number">1</span> min read</span>

 

In what is seen as the spirit of philantropism, four children aged between twelve and seven years of the Opoku Sekyere family Charity, a USA based Charity Organisation have mobilised eight thousand dollars through fundraising to support Patick Duah Foundation, a Ghanaian based charity home at Kona on the Ashanti Region to help ease the congestion at the home.

According to the children, Meredith Opoku-Sekyere (12 year old) Chris (14 year old), Gabe (9 year old) and Janelle (7 year old) they were touched of a call by the founder of the home, Rev. Patrick Kwaku Duah for Public support to enable him to expand the accomodation facilities at the home, hence their desire to raise the funds to support.

The Partick Duah Foundation, is putting up a 14 bedroom storey complex with two caretaker office expected to cost thirty thousand dollars to provide decent accomodation for the orphans and the underprivileged at the home.

At a ceremony at the project site at Kona, the four children from the OPoku Sekyere- Charity Organisation donated an initial amount of eight thousand dollars(8,000 dollars) to ensure a speedy commencement of the project.

A member of the Opoku Sekyere family, Ms. Meredith Opoku-Sekyere, who made the donation on behalf of her siblings , reiterated that they were deeply touched by the appeal made by Rev. Patrick Duah so they decided to solicit for the funds from family and friends in the USA to come and support.

The founder of the Patrick Duah Foundation, Rev. Patrick Kwaku Duah, thanked the family for the kind gesture and pledged to see to the completion of the project soon.
