Political leaders regain their wisdom during election seasons, according to Ernesto Yeboah, the leader of the Economic Fighters League.

Ernesto Yeboah asserted that during election seasons, politicians tend to make trite remarks.

His remarks follow National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama’s statement on the 67th anniversary of the Republic of Ghana’s Independence, which stated that Ghana deserves better.

Speaking on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, he said that while Mr. Mahama’s statement is true, the timing is problematic.

Ernesto Yeboah said he is examining the three decades that separated the NDC and NPP.

He restated that if the NPP and NDC are voted out of office, Ghana will have another opportunity to prosper.

Speaking about the Independence Day celebrations, he said that thinking back on the Independence will make you feel depressed.
