Managing Director for Operations of the World Bank, Anna Bjerde has pledged the Group’s commitment to continuously provide Ghana with skills for the job market.

She said the Ghana’s young population has the potential  to introduce and create innovative content through skills training, hence, the need to focus on providing more skills to fit in easily on the job market.

Madam Bjerde said this when she paid a working visit to the Accra Digital Centre and the Innovation Hub in Accra.

This, is her first visit to Ghana after being appointed the Managing Director of the World Bank Group in April, 2023.

The visit is to familiarise herself with some of the Group’s Projects in Ghana.

Ms Bjerda said the “World Bank has approved a new project in the digital space to help with more funding to work on innovations at the digital facility”.
