Exciting Ghanaian prospect David Oduro is set to embark on a trial period with  Premier League club Chelsea this week.

The 17-year-old left-back, who presently represents Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions, will partake in training exercises at Stamford Bridge, aiming to showcase his skills and secure a professional contract.

Oduro’s inclusion in the trial program follows a series of eye-catching displays in the domestic league, where he has emerged as one of the most promising young talents.

His consistent form has seen him feature in 15 of Accra Lions’ 17 matches this term, notching a solitary goal in a 1-1 stalemate versus Bibiani Gold Stars.

The gifted defender completed a battery of fitness assessments at Chelsea’s facilities on Monday, January 8, paving the way for his two-week trial spell.

If Oduro’s audition proves successful, he could become the latest Ghanaian footballer to grace the ranks of the London-based powerhouse, joining the likes of Michael Essien, Baba Rahman, and Christian Atsu.

Meanwhile, Oduro is being monitored by Ukrainian giants Shakhtar and Real Sociedad of Spain.
