Prof. Adu Gyamfi in an interview on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Kumasi based Time FM emphasized that, the lawmakers represent large number of people in their various constituencies so therefore delegates should maintain their stand and not to be hoodwinked by aspirants.
His statement comes in the wake of the Member of Parliament for Bibiani Anhwiaso Constituency, Alfred Obeng-Boateng who has emphasized his preparedness to pay the 2,200 delegates of the NPP in his constituency GHc 20,000 to maintain his position.
In a viral audio, the MP noted that he paid as much as GHC3,000 per delegate during the previous primaries and that he is ready to match any competition from his contenders in terms of payment to delegates.
Prof. Adu Gyamfi said that this act in the NPP’s internal elections shows that Ghana has bad leaders.
