Bennet Adomah Agyekum’s mysterious death, which has led to a huge outpouring of grief among his fans, has prompted a police investigation.
According to police, the businessman was found in a pool of blood on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at a residence in Madina-Ogbojo.
He was rushed to the hospital for medical attention, but was pronounced dead on arrival, the police added.
The police indicated in a statement that the deceased’s body had been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy while the investigation is ongoing.
“The police have arrested one Yandeh Joof, believed to be the girlfriend of the deceased, in connection with the matter and she is assisting the investigation,” the statement stressed.
The CEO of the East Legon-based Kikibees Restaurant, who is affectionately called Ben, was said to have arrived from Amsterdam and was attacked when he was on his way home after spending some time at his restaurant.
Although the reason for his attack is still unknown, some social media users have theorised that Ben was slain as a result of his participation in coercive business deals and snitching.
Mr. Agyekum’s social media video of him dancing to a Stonebwoy song hours before he was killed has now gone viral.
“Just imagine saying if God na Man by now them don order [an] execution order for onna! Jehovah bu Eze [sic],” he captioned the video.
