Gov’t Needs To Be Commended For The Attempt To Turn The Economic Indicators – Economist1 min read

Economist, Dr Isaiah Sikayena says the government needs to be commended for the attempt to turn around the economy.

He said even though external factors messed up the economy, the government has to be lauded.

Addressing Parliament during the Mid-Year Budget Review on Monday, July 31, 2023, Mr Ofori-Atta highlighted significant progress made in Ghana’s economy since the decision to go to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a bailout.

He told the House: “we have turned the corner and, more importantly, we are determined to continue down that path.”

The Ghana Technology University College Lecturer was reacting to the Mid-year budget review on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show on Tuesday, August 1.
