Grave Robbery Unearthed: Two Bodies Exhumed in Wassa Grumisa1 min read
The tranquility of Wassa Grumisa cemetery was shattered as two corpses were discovered to have been exhumed.
According to Bra Daniel, the Unit Committee Chairman of the area, the desecration was brought to their attention when it was noticed that the grave of Maame Mansah, aged 70, who had been interred just a month prior, had been tampered with.
Through the identification of familiar clothing and burial items, the family confirmed the unsettling truth.
More shocking still was the revelation that the resting place of the town’s revered matriarch, Maame Kwayie, who had reached the remarkable age of 110, had also been violated, with her remains missing.
Expressing dismay, the committee chairman noted that this was not an isolated incident, marking the third occurrence in the span of three years.
Urging swift action, he emphasized the importance of reporting the matter to the authorities promptly.
In a cautionary message to the community, he appealed to the youth to abstain from engaging in illicit activities, particularly those seeking quick wealth through nefarious means, reminding them that the consequences of such actions are enduring.
