Growing Of Cannabis: There Should Be Enforcement of The Bill – Former Peace Council Chairman1 min read
A former Peace Council Chairman, Rev. Professor Emmanuel Asante says the cultivation of the cannabis is not a plight rather the abuse of it.
Rev. Professor Asante said there should be an infrastructure in place not to allow everybody to grow the cannabis.
Speaking on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, he bemoaned that some people have a perception that marijuana has been legalized in the country.
The argument that most people will grow the cannabis unlawfully is not true.
He said Ghana hasn’t developed to a stage to legalize the marijuana like some advance countries.
“There should be an enforcement of the bill to ensure the Pharmaceutical companies growing the cannabis do not go astray,” he told host Kwame Koranteng.
