I Have Ghana Premier League In Mind – Jordan Ayew1 min read
Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew has expressed his interest in experiencing the Ghana Premier League before he retires from professional football.
In an interview, Ayew revealed that he is considering the possibility of playing in the local league and expressed a specific interest in representing a team based in Accra.
“The Ghana Premier League is something that I have in mind one day I could play for a team in Accra because I base in Accra,” he told Gtv Sports Plus.
Ayew has previously played for Marseille, Sochaux, Aston Villa, and Swansea City, and is currently on the books of Premier League club Crystal Palace. He signed a new contract with the Eagles earlier this year, keeping him with the team until next year.
Ayew had a fantastic end to last season, coinciding with the club’s rise to secure a mid-table finish and stay in the Premier League.
With his wealth of experience and proven goal-scoring ability, his potential involvement in the Ghana Premier League would undoubtedly add excitement and attention to the domestic competition.
The 29-year-old striker has earned over 90 caps and scored 19 goals for the Black Stars.
